Page 1 of Grey Patches on my screen!!!!!!!!!!!!

When watching TV or DVD in low light conditions i can see patches in the top corners of my screen. There are only noticeable when the screen is `blacker than black` ie. opening bit of LOTR, and they are dark grey. My TV is a Sony WEGA 32" (KV32DX30 I think) and I`m wondering if anybody has an explanation/remedy? I don`t have any additional speakers near the TV and I use a half-decent scart connection.

Someone told me they could be the shadow of the brackets holding the tube in place, is that possible?!

I get them on mine when watching a region 1 dvd.

Put a r2 in and they go.

Dont know what causes it, but at least you`re not alone ! :D
