I am looking to by a 36" tv and don`t really have a clue on what I should go for. Does anyone have any recommendations. I have been looking at the Panasonic TX36PD30 and the Toshiba 36ZP38.

That`s a tough call seeings both these TVs have won a silly amount of awards in both What Hi Fi and What Home Cinema. Both give an absolutely great picture, but your best bet is to go to somewhere like a large John Lewis and see both of them. What they tend to do is play a DVD Player directly in to each display model to show the clarity of each model.

Toshiba is the biggest selling market model, but I think they have some stiff competition in the Panasonic. If you`re looking for good prices, try www.digitaldirectuk.com, I bought my Tosh 36ZP38 from them but I know they have great service and next day delivery and chucked in loads of extras like component cables, scart cables, speaker stands and optical cables for next to nothing!

Good Luck....spuddie
