Page 1 of Akura dvd player problem.

Hi i`ve just bought an Akura dvd in my local Kwiksave, no problems with it playing everything thrown at it but i was wondering should there be some kind of light or led to show that it`s on when you press the power button as this is the second machine the other one was a bit rowdy when it was switched on with an irritating humming noise and there was no led lit on that either. I`ve bought it to replace my alba 108 that i was fed up with. It works great nice picture as well but it seems strange there`s no knowing visually that the unit is on.
Any info on the matter would be appreciated.

If you read the Instruction Manual you will find that you need to press the power buton TWICE to turn this playyer fully on. Regards, CoolerKing
