I am about to recieve my latest replacment scan and wondered if anyone else had noticed the blue shadow that surrounds some frames especially when there is alot of dark to very bright shots.I have noticed this on both of the scans i have had and am curious if anyone else had noticed this?

Hi, Can I ask do you get this blue shadow on Region 2 dvd`s aswell as the Region 1. Check this out please. as if it what I am thinking which happens to Region 1 dvd with NTSC it means your TV is not taking the signal verywell.

Yeah it does it on region 1 and region 2 disks.

It was particularly noticable on jaws region 2.I have noticed it on all the scans i have seen.I am not sure that everyone would notice it but i certainly do.It seems to be when it film scrolls from side to side or when there is a dark to bright scene.

In reply to wasps remark -I look forward to my new scan arriving as i believe in the product despite all the heckles. If,however, there is any problems with this one i will unfortunatly have to get a refund, and look into either the hitachi 505 or a machine with vcd/svcd/mp3/macrovision free, multi region capabilities.
