I have the E50 and the bought the the exact same Traxdata discs. I have used 7 now with no problems.
I also got the 25 cheaper Nan-ya (1x-2x) at 79p which also work fine.

Sounds like the E50 at fault?

I bought 10 DV372 Traxdata DVD-R discs from SVP following their recommendation of compatibility with my E50. Have used 3 so far; they work fine.
