Toshiba SD-220 v SD-330, multiregion playback

I have a SD 220 which plays region 1 with no problem, a mate is considering a SD 330 from Amazon but a bit confused by the statement that you require a NTSC compatible TV for region 1 playback. Is this different from how the SD 220 works? Any suggestions for an alternative quality player at about £80.

Macbeth,

"Macbeth shall sleep no more " :)

Not being very clued up on the technology of DVD players I can only suggest that you get your mate to visit http://ww.dvdrhelp.com
He should find all the information he needs regarding the specification and also buyers reviews of the 330.

HTH

What it means is that the Tosh will only output pure NTSC,not the PAL 60 or PAL 50 that some other players will output. You need a tv that will handle NTSC.Take your player to his house. If your player plays back in colour properly on his set, then so will a 330
