Advice needed on firmware upgrade for the Scan SC-2000.

I`m not sure exactly what firmware number I have (even after following the instructions in sw_upgrade.doc) but I have included the details taken from the `SETUP -> STOP -> STEP -> MENU` blue screen.
CUSTOM ID SCN MAIN VER 00000153 NAV VER 000009CE PWD 00000000 CLOCK 00000438 HEIGHT 00000120 RUN TIME 0000005D N-SETUP 00000003 S-SETUP 00000004 RESULT 00000002
Also, my machine is about six months old and I have fitted the microchip version firmware (posted from scan) so I guess the info above relates to that. My question is can I install the latest firmware ? Any help on this matter appreciated.

Hi MAIN VER 00000153
is the firmware version number ie 1.53
From what I have read on this forum , firmware below 1.68 cant be upgraded , but I am not sure ..

Nelley promised me months ago to send an EEPROM to upgrade with so I assume it`s not flashable...... Contact him but you`ll be lucky if he answers your mail.....

Only Scan players which where purchased after the 26th October 2000, and have version 1.64 or above installed can be upgraded.
