Lecson dvd-900

i am not out annoy anyone - [esp on first post ;-) ] but i just posted looking for other users then found dvd.reviewer
here what i said
"i returned mine because 1) there were no details on how to update the Flash OS, 2) it didnt play Toy Story Box Set disk 3 and 3) i was too tempted by the PlayStation2."
the flash thing seems picky but without them knowing my details, or having a website, how are we supposed to get the updates?
As someone here also noticed, it does not display MP3 filenames when playing MP3 CD`s,
Most annoying was, it doesnt allow you to jump straight to mp3-track 150 - you have to `next track` 149 times..
not good for the thumb or the remote...
any comments? (not after abuse either, dont get wound up, just comments/questions)
Thanks

1) Presumably (and I say that without too much expectation) updates would be available from Debenhams.
2) There are a lot of other players that can`t cope with the Toy Story extras disk, not just the Lecson. There`s no problems with the Region 1 version.
3) Well, that`s your choice :)

At least one of the magazine reviews mentioned the problems with MP3 filenames. If that`s one of the main factors you are looking for in buying a DVD player, then, obviously, the Lecson is the wrong player for you. Can`t any reason why anyone should get upset about that.

i agree mick, if the guy wanted a dedicated mp3 player then he/she should have bought one. this is a minor gripe towards a great machine:)

when i bought mine from debenhams i was told if there is a need for an upgrade one will be made availible ( one of its selling points )

Any of you fellow Lecson owners got any idea of the 4 digit code to plug into my programmable remote control?

I appreciate that the Lecson probably has rotating codes (why!?) like the Wharfedale...

Cheers

My Yamaha AV receiver came with a programmable remote.
There`s a section in the manual with loads of 4-digit codes to enable you to control various other bits of kit with it.

No sign of a code for the Lecson (or Wharfedale) DVD players though....

I`ve heard these can be tricky because for some reason they use rotating codes (like car alarms!?)
