Toshiba SD330 or SD220?

stuartdurrant (Competent) posted this on Friday, 6th June 2003, 09:47

I know this has been asked before but can anyone advise which player I should go for. The SD330 is being sold as the replacement for the SD220 but is it as good? I can get either for the same price.

Many thanks

330`s had good reviews. Probably too early to talk about reliability etc. but I`d go for the 330.

According to the amazon.co.uk and dvdrhelp.com specs the 330 will NOT play dvd+rw discs

Anyone confirm this or have more info?

The blurb on these new SD330`s doesn`t actually mention DVD+RW compatibility. But I have tried a few DVD+RW`s and they have worked. For the record they were Philips..

hope this helps.

One quick question of mine - is there a region free hack for the SD330/SD330E?

It appears that it uses the same hack as the 220 model
