Page 1 of Is January 5th Scan OK?

Last week a number of posters were anxiously awaiting arrival of Scans from the January 5th batch.

Now that you have got them, are they OK? Are they better than the earlier Scans?

I am not asking if it is the worlds best player, because frankly I will only ever probably own 10-20 DVD`s (but lots of MP3!!) and I am quite prepared to upgrade in 12-24 months time when better players come out at a lower price. I just want a basic player that plays MP3 and VCD with reasonable DVD picture (on the crap Bush WS telly from Aldi).

I got my scan 2000sc on fri 5/01/01 and i have watched a few different dvd and the picture and sound are top class.
The mp3 play back through my hi fi is excellent i would totally advise on buying a scan for £175.00 the only problem is have they any left!!!
The people who have had problems are the ones who moan and rightley so!! but i bet if you weigh up how many have been sold i bet its only a small percentage that get sent back.
And at the end of the day those people who are having problems will get a working player some time or another.
My advise is buy a scan!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah in my f**king dreams. I`m bloody sick of this. Obviously Scan only care about making a sale. When they have your money you can p*** right off. Why the hell am I still waiting for a working DVD player? What business have Scan got to be selling players which should be going to dissatisfied customers?
