THE 5TH ENCORE HE HAS SENT BACK IN THE PAST 2 MONTHS WITH THIS PROBLEM
SO HE TOLD HIM NOT 2 TRY AND FLASH IT BACK AND FORTH AS IT JUST FRYS YOUR

Your mate was unlucky because not all machines (certainly not the older ones - e.g. mine was made in April 2000) froze up. Newer machines did lock up, but Encore Direct repaired them for the unlucky few (about three people as far as I know) for a nominal fee.

Glad to see you`ve managed to take the caps lock off - you don`t have to shout : I`m not deaf !

I don`t know if you`ve suddenly appeared on the site to wind me up, but why are you singling out a small, independent company whose customer service excels all other organisations I`ve had the displeasure to have contact with ?

And besides, you can`t compare a £200 budget player with a mid-range `branded` player : hell, you don`t even own one so why so smug ?

Virtually every budget player has an imperfection, even if the owners don`t care to admit it. I`ve never boasted that the 450 in any way shape or form matches a Sony et al.

Unless you`ve got direct experience of poor product from Encore Direct leave them alone, or get your mate along to talk to me.

As a non-encore owner I reckon you are well out of order.

Are you, by any chance, an exiled ex-DVD Debate forum member?

If you had been on these forums for any length of time you would know that Clayts rarely mentions the Encore, compared to the way other players get touted on this forum, other than to pass on info useful to other Encore owners, He is also tends to take a pretty realistic view as to its weaknesses as well as its strengths. Nor is he afraid to recognise the value of other players, e.g. the Aiwa 370.

And, to paraphrase your own rather strident words, some others of us on this forum would like to see a lot less of people slagging off other forum users, be it personally or through a mouthpiece. We`d also like to see and end to people SHOUTING in the mistaken belief that it makes what they say more important.

The forums are for all users. If you don`t like what Clayts has to say, them simply don`t read his posts. That way you and your mute m8 won`t get so upset and throw your toys about.
