Lecson Pin 8 & Anamorphic w/s DVD`s

Manni (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Thursday, 11th January 2001, 12:19

I heard on another forum that pin 8 on the Lecson 900(& Warfie) have no output, and therefore can`t handle switching to w/s on anamorphic DVD`s.
Is this true?

So from what i understand if i get a anamorhpic w/s DVD i`ll have 2 change it manualy to w/s, if at all possible on the Lecson, or it just won`t do w/s on these DVD`s.
Which is correct, or am i miles off the mark?

Help!!!

My Lecson seems to work correctly with anamorphic DVDs on my Toshiba widescreen.

The Lecson is set to either 16:9 or 4:3 in the setup menu for whatever type of TV you use. As far as I am aware, changing the settings there won`t affect how anamorphic DVDs are displayed. If it didn`t display them correctly, you`d have to change the picture settings on the TV itself. I`ve never had to do that, though I did have to with my Schneider 810 DVD player I had before.

Hope this helps.

Thanks 4 that m8.

While were talking bout w/s DVD`s, I want a copy of Enemy of the State but all the R2`s seem 2 be w/s only.
Do you no if there is a normal version, i have a 28" TV, or is there one on this DVD along with w/s?

Going a bit of the subject now. But being a Lecson owner 4 a while now, i take it, whats the best way 2 burn mp3 for them e.g. multisession, etc..?

Help much appricated.

Thanx

When I tried to burn multi-session, my Lecson only recognised the MP3`s from one session.

Pin 8 on SCART:

0V = Normal TV Mode
5V = AV Mode + Anamorphic
12V = AV Mode + Non-amamorphic (ie. normal TV setting)
