Wharfedale 890 problem

AE (Harmless) posted this on Tuesday, 9th January 2001, 14:33

I recently bought the above WS television and have a problem. No matter which mode I use, 4:3, 16:9 etc., I get a wave-like picture distortion when the camera pans left and right. It`s particularly noticeable when there`s football on or when a program has horizontally scrolling credits. At first I thought that it was due to the poor picture from my outdoor aerial, but it does the same thing on DVD`s too (albeit to a lesser extent).

Has anyone seen this before and possibly recommend a solution other than take it back? Thanks.

I have the Bush WS6672 which is basically the same telly. Mine doesn`t do this so I suggest you take yours back.
Mind you, I have a very slight `warble` on the sound during `bright` scenes on the picture..

Thanks for that - unfortunately I`ve already returned one because of the problem. Looks like this one`s going back too and I`ll give this telly a width berth in future.
