RE: League of gentlemen series 2 problem

I`m a big fan of TLOG, but this has put me off buying it in the near future. Before I give in to temptation and part with my hard earned cash, can anyone tell me if they`ve had problems with it on the Wharfedale 750 (newer firmware - DTS logo)?

Cheers

RE: I`m after a "32 - 36" widescreen TV (Budget £700)

I got a Philips 32PW6305 for about £650 from George Henry Lees (part of John Lewis). It should have been £739 with stand and 5 yr warranty, but they knocked 80 quid off because I had seen it cheaper on the internet (even though that one didn`t come with the warranty).

RE: Wharfedale 890`s and M8 28` Widescreen TVs at Tesco

I took 2 890`s back to Tesco for a very annoying distortion problem, which appeared even in 4:3 mode.

Saved up some extra cash and bought a Philips 32" Widescreen TV instead. I suggest that you should do the same thing.

RE: Wharfedale 890 problem

Thanks for that - unfortunately I`ve already returned one because of the problem. Looks like this one`s going back too and I`ll give this telly a width berth in future.

Wharfedale 890 problem

I recently bought the above WS television and have a problem. No matter which mode I use, 4:3, 16:9 etc., I get a wave-like picture distortion when the camera pans left and right. It`s particularly noticeable when there`s football on or when a program has horizontally scrolling credits. At first I thought that it was due to the poor picture from my outdoor aerial, but it does the same thing on DVD`s too (albeit to a lesser extent).

Has anyone seen this before and possibly recommend a solution other than take it back? Thanks.
