Ok, this is a DIRECT response from Aiwa marketing department!
(sometimes it does pay to be in the trade! lol)

"The 370 was never released into the UK market in Silver, only Champagne, and the European players were Black, and a few Champagne models. The 370 will be coming back into stock in March, and will be available soon thereafter"

Sorry mate, forget the silver one..it`s a pie in the sky dream now!!

(Unless I can manage to "grey import" one for ya!!)
And yeah, I`m still looking into setting this dealership up!

AIWA 370 (officially) ROCKS!!!!!!!

Wow all of a sudden my AIWA is beginning to feel like a pre-christmas PlayStation2.

Ok brand new AIWA only a few days old the bidding starts here @ £199.99 no reserve.

Comon who`s gonna give £200.00, the gentlemen at the back....

007.

If it really has to be silver and not almost silver as the Aiwa is, and VCD is not an issue then go for an LG 3350. It is silver, and is the same machine at the end of the day !!!

Am I right or am I right Jimbo

The Aiwa and LG 3350 Rock together !!!!

>>"Am I right or am I right Jimbo"

Read between the lines here:

I`m trying to set up my own business, dealing in DVD players and software.
So far, I`m only interested in 3 players to market
The Aiwa 370 and the LG 3350 are top of the list
(especially if I can get macro disabled and VCD enabled on the LG)
and the Pioneer 530/535 (essentially the same player)

Why the Pioneers you ask?
so I can have a "Major brand" player available for the "I want a name I can trust" crew!!

So whaddya think croc? ::chuckle::

AIWA 370 (officially) ROCKS!!!!!!

Mine is...

So Jimbo, becoming an entrepreneur are we??? ;)

You`d better watch out for the Microstar disease then!!

Anyway since I won`t try to waste any of this precious space, I`ll just say what I came for.
I don`t know what the official colour code of my Aiwa may be, but it`s definitely silver....

(still a waste of space really ;)

Champagne, and my Panasonic VCR is champagne, although a diff shade of champagne!

Anyway I am not complaining, the AIWA is rock solid.

The LG does look a bit ugly, but it wouldn`t of bothered me, I would of got that if I hadn`t got hold of the AIWA.

When are AIWA gonna get dvd players on there site, very unprofessional - when is a major magazine going to review it as well......

I hope in March AIWA don`t bring out a 370s or something with added features

There`s not much to ad I guess ...
on the other hand, some bookmarking would be nice still. And the MP3 support could use a little more functionality. Perhaps SVCD?

It`s still a great player though.

About the up to date site, that is sad.
Why bother to have one, if u can`t keep it up to date (come to think of it, mine is a bit past due too ;) .

Then again, they still show some product info.
I`ve been looking on the Philips site lately and they are still updating (keep sending mee in loops).

If u want some official site info (in english!!), then have a look at:

http://www.aiwa.nl

They have the player posted with the grey look.
