I have tried recording on both TDK and Sony CD R`s but they will not play on my machine.

normally if CD-Rs wont work, it`ll be with them all. it`s down to the colour of the disks, some machines can`t read through the blue due to the frequency of the laser.
HI JULIE M
I USED TO HAVE A 536 AND TRIED ANY NUMBER OF CDR`S WITHOUT SUCCESS.
THE 536 SIMPLY WON`T READ THEM!

Hello!
Try using CD-RW. I tried CD-R`s in my sistsers Panasonic DVD player and my parents Sony DVD player. It never played on either machine.
But when I tried CD-RW it worked fine.
I recomend that you don`t use cheap CD-RW though as they tend to suffer with errors. Go the the mid to high priced ones. I use Philips ones with no problems. I use them for audio, Video CD and Super Video CD burnt using Nero on the computer.
Hope this helps.
