I bought one last week from Asda - £167!!! Took it home, hacked it in about 10 seconds. Plays R1 & R2 discs no problem. There was a review in the winter issue of DVD mag and they said it was a good player and that they expected it to be around £300 so that can`t be bad.

Just know that it can`t play MP 3`s, CD-R`s or CD-RW`s.
And that u`d better make sure that the hack works on your model.
Some firmware versions seem to have difficulties with it.

I have an 811 which is basically the same player with dolby decoder built in. My player was hackable no problem AND will play cd-r`s and cd-wr`s and MP3s.
