Page 1 of DVD player that play`s every thing

i`ve been looking at the sony dvp-ns905vs as i would like one with a built in dts decoder but will this player run dvd-r/rx, dvd+r/rw and what ever else is available???

is it in your opinion worth the extra cash over the dvpns705vs?
and is dts much better than dolby digital 5.1??

I`m no expert as I dont have one but do you need a decoder built in? If your getting a DTS/DD amp anyway you dont need one.

I`m not a big fan of Sony but with DVD moving so fast its not worth spending a lot. With a Pioneer for about £100 and amps with DD & DTS for about £200 its getting cheaper all the time. DVD recorders will be cheaper soon!!

Have you got speakers?

DTS I have read is surposed to slightly better than DD but not as many UK DVD`s have it but all have DD.

i have the speakers yes but the amp i have is only dolby prologic but with a 6 channel input/output so it can amplify the signal but not decode it
