Lecson 900 DVD MP3 Playback. - How to?
Hi all,
I bought the lecson over the wharfdale due to the fact that it can play MP3`s.
The Problem:
I`ve burnt a CD-ROM (ISO9660 / Joliet) on my PC as a closed disc (not multisession), on a good TDK disc (which I can read and play from in the PC) with about 640mb of MP3`s on it. Unfortuonatly, when I put it in the DVD player, the LCD display just says `BAD DISK.` Now I know this not to be true, as I can read it in my PC. Am I doing anything glaringly wrong?
Am I putting in a CD with too many songs (>100)? or should I burn a multisession CD? I don`t know....
(I saw in the manual that the player cannot play CD-ROM discs - Surely not! How am I supposed to get MP3`s to run then??)
Anyway, I`m slightly confused, and any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Simon

The MP3`s are all constant bitrate BTW.

It sounds like you are doing everything right. Can`t understand why it`s not working. I created a disk in a similar way, and it just worked. I haven`t tried a disk with over 100 songs though.
Are the songs at the root level or in sub-directories ? I don`t think it matters but it`s worth comparing what you did to what I did.

All the songs are at the root level. - would filename length bother it at all? some of the songs have names > 8 charachters...

I`m not sure. I will check my disks when I get home from work to see whether any of mine had longer filenames.

Was there any resolution to this?
I`ve tried a test burn of a couple of MP3 files. They play OK on my PC but I get no sound at all from the Lecson. The screen display shows that it is playing an MP3 disk, it also shows the number of tracks, and the current track info (length and elapsed), but there is no audio output either to the TV or the amp.
As my last problem with the Lecson was a configuration problem (Audio playback with ANALOG 6 CH selected), it wouldn`t surprise me if I have mucked something up.
Any ideas?
TIA
