Page 1 of Sound for a pound?

Well, thanks to the advice i got on here i got a dvd player, a Toshiba 220 and well smart it is too, fantastic picture. However, the sound from the TV is just not good enough. What do i do, i want the smallest speakers possible, remote if possible to aviod all the wires, and fantastic sound, all for a quid. Well, ok, I can go to a little more than that but am i asking the impossible. Thanks to the wife style, and size, are the foremost considerations. Anybody got any ideas?

Check out the Sony Bt-be1 system. Tiny speakers and a subwoofer with built in digital amp. Got mine for 200 notes and the sound is very impressive, The speaker size also appeased the misses.
