Anyone know cheap/reliable places for DVD chipping in UK?

brent1 (Harmless) posted this on Wednesday, 22nd January 2003, 11:09

I have a Region 2 Sony NS305 player and want to get it chipped for multi-region play. I`ve found a place called Techtronics, but does anyone know anywhere else? Perhaps you`ve paid a good price or had good service?
Or, maybe you`ve had a bad experience somewhere? Grateful for any help!

Not done it myself but thought that techtronics looked the best bet. They`ve been around for a long time now. Website shows clearly what can mods do and you can even look at the instruction booklet fopr the mod. They sell kits if you`re into that kinda thing as well.

I`ve bought DVD players from techtronics and found them to be quite reliable. Dont know anything about their chipping service though. I`ve recommended this site to friends to buy their players also. If you know anything about soldering i think they do DIY Kits with instructions for you to do yourself.

www.d*******.co.uk who I used to do my NS400 do an upgrade remote. Did the upgrade about 3 months ago and it has worked perfectly so far. RCE discs all work fine.

EDIT: didnt realise the site name is filtered for some reason

well combine dvd and chips to get the name.
