Are *ALL* Plasmas made by Fujitsu?

Neiliboy (Elite) posted this on Monday, 6th January 2003, 17:37

Got a mate who works for Fujitsu.

He tells me that all plasma screens are made by Fujitsu and are then sold to the like of Sony, Panasonic etc who simply chuck in their own software and bung their own badge on it.

If this is the case i know which brand i`ll buy when it comes to purchasing a plasma.

Do any of you guys have any other info?

I have to agree with the last comment. Fujitsu really pioneered the market and whilst a lot of companies are starting to produce their own screens, the majority are still supplied by Fujitsu. Either way, Fujitsu screens are amazing so do not be diswaded from buying from other companies.

Have a look at this site it explains who make screens and for who.

http://www.avsforumfaq.com/~plasma/#makers
(Looks like you can`t post url`s with makers so you will have to cut and
paste or look at "Which companies make plasmas?" for link)
