Alright guys,
I have one of these players and wondered if any of you have had heat problems.
I bought 1 three weeks ago and when my bird was watching `about a boy, it locked up`, though she`d broke it!
Anyway, took it back, got new one and not had any locking problems as yet, but it gets hotter than the sun on topof the case eve tho there is good ventilation. There is a fan mounted at the rear of the player but doesn`t appear to kick in ever!
Can anyone confirm that the fan works?

Trueboy, sorry to go off subject but is this machine multi region? I had the fore runner to this machine - HCS 500 which had an easy handset hack. I saw this kit in Asda`s when I returned the above mentioned kit for a refund and wondered if it could also be handset hacked. Thanks.

I hacked mine no trouble using a handset hack from this site and had no problems.
Here it is in case you decide to go for the player.
Power on the player and Open the tray Key in 8, 1, 3, 2, 8 Press Enter until you highlight 9 (Multi-Region)
Its a good player for the money, although the sound could do with being a little more powerful!
