MACROVISION HACK Schneider 201

Hi,

Has anyone found macro restrictions on this player. I know its region hackable but not sure if macrovision is disabled too??

Does anyone have any information about the medion DVD home cimema system? Can it be hacked, whats the spec? think its about £199.99.

I recall reading somewhere, not so long ago, that Schneider had chosen to remove hack capabilities from its UK machines.

Is this true?

My video is knackered at the mo, so i`ve not been able to try.

My machine is now multiregion and I wondered if there is any macrovision protectio on this machine?

If so, is there a hack?

I hacked mine no trouble using a handset hack from this site and had no problems.

Here it is in case you decide to go for the player.

Power on the player and Open the tray
Key in 8, 1, 3, 2, 8
Press Enter until you highlight 9 (Multi-Region)

Its a good player for the money, although the sound could do with being a little more powerful!

Calling all Shcnieder SHC-201 owners!

Alright guys,

I have one of these players and wondered if any of you have had heat problems.

I bought 1 three weeks ago and when my bird was watching `about a boy, it locked up`, though she`d broke it!

Anyway, took it back, got new one and not had any locking problems as yet, but it gets hotter than the sun on topof the case eve tho there is good ventilation. There is a fan mounted at the rear of the player but doesn`t appear to kick in ever!

Can anyone confirm that the fan works?

Shcnieder SHC-201 overheating

I wondered in anyone has one of these players. I`ve already took one back for overheating and have got another one from ASDA, however this one does seem to get very hot too.
There is a fan built into the back of the player but it doesn`t seem to function.
Has anyone else had this trouble with this player?
Does it kick in at a certain point?
There is a 2inch space above the case for ventilation but it still gets hot and i`m worried its a fire risk!

It is a reasonably good player with speakers for the price £160 it would be a shame to have to swap it again.

I hope you don`t ind me asking, but i too have bought this player and want to hack it to multi region. Have you tried this hack yet? Why region 9? Aren`t multi region codes usually 0?

Has anyone got a Multi Region Code for this model?

Is it likely that a hack from another model might work?
