Since no one else is suggesting anything, I will suggest a Pronto, bought mine a year ago, and it is great.OK, it will run you £150, but it will control all the above, and basically anything else you can throw at it.

You could go with one of the two suggested, but if i was out for the latest at a good price i would go for the :

one for all 6 kameleon at £70

This has everything, great looks, touch screen, even a built in modem to keep it up to date.Could say loads about it but just go to the web site & see for your self.loads of others there to.

Something like the Philex Wizard might do -- it can learn the codes your existing remotes do, and it`s within the suggested budget. But I`m not sure if that model is still available. It also feels a little flimsy.

The trouble is that there`s getting to be an awful lot of hardware out there, and earlier models are dropping of the lists of what the less flexible remotes can handle.

richer sounds have the topline 8 on offer at £9.99

should be near £70

ok it might not be the best [all whistles and bells]

8 devices lcd screen though

but at £9.99 its got to be worth a look.

but you said under £40 this must be a bargain

they also have the mosaic touch screen at around £60
