Page 1 of Help with setting up Philips 890

I`ve just brought a Philips DVDR and have spent hours trying to figure out the connections to everything. I`d be very grateful for any help before it goes out of the window....

TV has 2 scart connections (Ext 1 & 2), plus an aerial connect
Pace Satellite has VCR scart, TV scart, aerial in, dish in, RF out 1 & 2

Video recorder 2 scart connections, SVHS & RF in & out.

How can I link these together so I can record with the DVD from the satellite and the video. I will still want to record using the video from satellite and watch different channel on the TV.

I`d be really grateful for any help, advice, web-links etc. I have read the manual, but it makes little sense when I`m trying to put this lot together.

How is your tv configured? Does EXT1 have RGB capability and EXT2 S-VHS?

If you can do without being able to record from video to DVDR, then I would suggest you have the Pace box going into the DVDR, the DVDR going into your RGB input on the TV. Then have the other scart on your pace box linked into the video, and the other scart on the video going into the other TV scart.

I`ve got what one might call a complex set-up and I initially got help from Keene customer service, Keene of course selling all sorts of electronic gizmos and goodies. Didn`t need to buy anything tho` just e-mailed selas[at]ku.oc.eneek and got a very helpful reply.
