Depends what you want - standard DVD play back or the whole kaboodle (eg SVCD, VCD, CD-R, CD-RW, MP3, hell Karoake ?) and whether you want multiregion and macrovision disabled.
Encore 450 does all of this, he said smugly.....

basicly i want everything for under £200 (cheap git eh?) i`ve been looking around and there`s quite a lot of choice but i would prefer input from `real` people as opposed to sales persons (no offense intended) As you guys won`t bullshit me with jargon cheers!!

Consider the Lecson, basically a 750s with more features and 1p under £200. It doesn`t do everything, but what it does it does well.
BUT, Jimbo should be here in a minute with an alternative suggestion :))

Is the lecson a Wharfy or Wharfy (S) replica?
If it is a standard wharfy beware it has disc problems.

Apart from the fact, Unbeatable `MAY` try to push one of their many dodgy returns out as new (Please dont sue me theyve got to end up somewhere!), I`d go for it! Check to see if its the new `S` model which has a true standby power-down function and better remote control.
Although I`m a proud MiCO owner, if I was in your shoes, I`d go for the Aiwa 370 for its excellent picture/sound. It wont do SVCD or macrovision disable but it looks SO GOOD.
