Wharfedale Large Screen TV`s from Tescos
Can anyone please let me know if they have purchased either the large 28" normal TV or the widescreen model from tescos, ive just noticed the 28" normal model has come down to 179 quid, and was wondering what the general concencus is? Im going to use it with my prologic set up so i will not be using the speakers, can I have some opinions on either of these TV`s please so I can get one in for Christmas. Lol.
Thanks in advance.

RE: Wharfedale Large Screen TV`s from Tescos
We have the CTV-890 (the widescreen version)
It is great - well worth 280 of "your feelthy Engleeesh pounds"! ;-)
The only real downer I can see - unless someone knows of a suitable converter - is that this model now has 2 RGB-type SCARTs.
2 x RGB SCARTs is doubtless good for people looking to connect a few sources direct to their TV; it isn`t good if you`re wanting to do "video switching" through an A/V amplifier though.
Most low/mid range A/V amplifiers have composite or S-VHS video outputs....and not RGB.
So - if you`re putting together a home cinema set-up and want to do "video switching" through your A/V amp....chances are you`ll have to use the lower quality composite video connection.
Not too clever Wharfedale.
Why couldn`t we have had a switchable RGB/S-VHS SCART like the previous model?
Bottom line though....incredible for the money
