Phillips 880 DVD+R questions

Gaz Kitch (Elite) posted this on Tuesday, 26th November 2002, 13:25

My father-in-law is having the above machine delivered on Sunday and needs the following questions answering:

1. Is it hackable for multi-region play back? (and what is the hack).

2. Where is the best place to buy blank discs (of decent quality).

3. Can you record from VHS to DVD+R (and how do you do it?).

Thanking you in advance.

Regards

Gaz

Can help you with 2 & 3...

www.valuemedia.co.uk/dvd.htm for affordable mail order DVD+R blank media (I`ve used `Datawrite` discs without any trouble at all)

Scart cable from VHS player into EXT 2 scart input at rear of 880 and press record. (The manual explains fully.)

Enjoy.

I have tried the multi region hack from this site(dvd reviewer) followed all instructions did everything, but it still won`t play other regions discs.
