Page 1 of How to get rid of audible `click` when changing tracks?

Hi got mt first dvd player recently and whenever change chapters/titles/on menu screens there is an annoying and very loud click, usually accompanied with the ommission of the first part of the relavent audio.

Is it something I`ve done wrong or a fau;t with the hardware? How can I fix this cos I`ve just spent literally hundreds on my setup only to get this! shoulda stayed with vhs... mumble mumble.. :(

btw think it`s my dvd plyr - a toshiba 220e bugt i did a lot of reseaerch into which 1 i was gonna buy and thought this was faultless.. help!

To check its the player you need to put it through someone elses system to eliminate YOUR system being at fault. The next system would do the same noise if the player is at fault..... Right?

I`d contact Toshies service center personally about this as there might be a slight problem that....... they are aware of.....emails can be slow with them so be warned.
TAKE NOTE: I`m not saying your player has a problem just speculating which........ is entirely different :-)

What do you mean by click? Is it a click from within the player, or an audio glitch? I ask as before I got my current player I was using a Toshiba SD100, which is a very fine player in most respects, but it does have some issues when changing between menu options and the like. Basically, there was sometimes and audio glitch (loud pop or buzzing from the speakers) and the first couple of seconds of audio would be missing from the new menu etc. Sound familiar? If so, I`d say it`s a Tosh design "feature". My new Pioneer is lightning quick at menus etc, but strangely it`s not as swift with layer changes as the Tosh...
