I`m looking at the Panasonic Widescreen TAU Pure flat models and the 100Hz 28" Nicam version is £100 more than the 50Hz. Is is really worth the extra?
my brother got that tv i cant notice any diference init my self......
Me and my mate went shopping on Monday night.
He was looking to buy a ` budget ` 100hz TV ( around £600 )
We looked at loads. They made us feel ill !
A real sensation of your eyes and brain trying to compensate for a blurry picture and weird sensations of motion. People walking around were particularly bad.
He bought a highly recommended 50hz instead and is delighted. From what we`ve seen of 100hz you can stick it....Perhaps the £1000+ ones are better but they`re an irrelevance for most people.
Well, I went and stood in Curry`s for half an hour trying to tell the difference. I couldn`t. Ordered myself a 50Hz model and saved £100.
Cheers Chaps.

Nice one. From what I have seen, 100 hz improves on screen text, removing that slight judder found on sources such as sky digital.....
Pete.
I don`t think so, I find 100hz make grass for example look unnatural when watching football. I used to have a 100hz 32" Panasonic but opted for a 50hz 32" Sony Wega when changing from rental buying.
"I find 100hz make grass for example look unnatural when watching football"
Is your soccer team so lousy that you have to inhale pot while watching them ?
Chris Muriel - couldn`t resist that one :-)
Hehe, yes actually, Dundee United, and we`re undoubtedly sh*te at the moment!
Seriously, my old Panasonic 100hz 32" widescreen made grass on Sky Sports look "solid" and rather unnatural, wheras the Sony 50hz it looks like, er, grass.
Does it make yer ground look any fuller though ??
Doubt it !!
Up `i dons !!
