There is alot of very good stuff said about the Dansai 1010 on this site and its cheaper than the 505. Why would you pay the extra - I ask because I was going to get the Dansai.

Cyberhome is better looking

better performance and a dedicated forum, does dansai have 5.1 decoder?

No 5.1 decoder. By better performance do you just mean better picture.
Forgive my ignorance but I don`t want to waste £60 on the Dansai if I should pay a bit more and get more.

What`s the obsession with the 5.1 decoder? You will get six outputs from the deck (front:left/centre/right; back: left right and a sub woofer) but you have to input these to either a Pro Logic Amp with all the necessary connections which is very rare now or (god forbid) a range of active computer speakers. Forget it and get a decent 5.1 amp and speakers.
