Hey, I am looking for a second DVD player as my current one is non-multi region, no vcd or cd-r/rw e.c.t. What I am looking for is a DVD player for under £100 which is multi region, plays VCD and CD-R/RW, DVD-R/RW(not essential) and also not essential but would be very helpful is an NTSC to PAL 50 converter, and at a very big stretch either a 5.1 or DTS decoder! : ) Think thats about it, make doesn`t really matter.

The cheapest `740 is £129.99 unless you know different. (Heck, that must be a first : me dissing a Sampo player !)
May I `umbly recommend the Apex AD1100WB from Asda (£70 - seek out"unofficial" firmware on internet, tried and tested, for region-free, VCR friendly plus VCD compatible playback), or the Alba 108 from Argos (£70 - no way to get rid of Macrovision, and an irritating VCD hack, but otherwise sound).
