Need a Home Cinema Setup but don`t know what to do!

I was considering the Yamaha HTiB-45, but this is very expensive, and I`ll need to get a DVD player to go with whatever I get. Can anyone recommend a good separates solution with Dolby Pro-Logic II, Dolby Digital and DTS (including the speakers) that won`t cost all the extra money.

Also, when is the best time to buy? Should I wait for prices to get cheaper, or should I just buy now(ish)?

The problem is that you want prologic 2, so none of its going to be cheap im afraid if you after an all in one the HTiB might be the best option

I have just bought the Thomson Scenium DPL915VD Home cinema kit. It is a DVD player with inbuilt decoder/amplifier for Dolby Pro-Logic II, DTS, and Dolby Digital. It also comes complete with the 5 satellite speakers and the subwoofer. I only bought it yesterday, and have spent the last few hours playing some of my favourite scenes just to hear how different they sound. I cannot fault either the sound or picture quality of the kit. I purchased it at Comet`s for £399.

The only problem so far is that as it is a new model, I cannot find a region hack for it. I have a request already posted in the Hack Forum for this (but if anyone here can help.....)

So, apart from the fact that at the moment it is Region 2 only, I can highly recommend it.
