RE: NEED HACK FOR THOMSON DPL910 VD !! HELP !
I have the DPL-915VD player. I believe the hack for the 900 and the 910 is the same. I have submitted the hack to this site, so have a look there (I think it is on page 35 of the hacks).
Note that as yet I have not found a true multi-region hack. The hack that I have submitted will change the region, for example from 2 to 1, but you perform the hack every time you want to change the region. I am still hoping to find a true region free hack one day!!

RE: LOTR Ruined!!!!!
I accept the reason that you (and the official site) give as for why they have split it.. And I am willing to stand corrected if my following argument is wrong...
Why not have Disc 1 - Extended Film (in full), DTS 6.1 Sound, No commentary.
Disc 2 - Extended Film (in full), Dolby 5.1 Sound and commentaries (I don`t think you would notice not having DTS if you were watching it with commentaries).
I did buy the regular edition, knowing full well that the extended version was coming out. And yes, if a film is THAT good, you can sit through 3 1/2 hours!!!
LOTR Ruined!!!!!
Why? How? A fantastic film ruined by crass and thoughtless presentation! Who remembers the old `flipper` discs? Who liked them?!? LOTR is now split across 2 discs!!! After Elrond`s Council, you have to CHANGE THE DISC to see the end of the film!!!
Please, New Line, provide us with a single disc version and let us return to you the split discs!!
Still Desperate!! Hack needed for Thomson DPL915VD
Hi,
I am still desperately in need for a region free hack for the Thomson DPL915VD DVD player. It is also marketed under the Thomson Scenium brand. I have tried all the Thomson hacks on the site, but no success. Any assistance would be very much appreciated!!
Thanks in advance,
John
RE: Looking to buy DVD cinema System/kit up to £500 can anyone help
I have just bought the Thomson Scenium DPL915VD Home cinema kit. It is a DVD player with inbuilt decoder/amplifier for Dolby Pro-Logic II, DTS, and Dolby Digital. It also comes complete with the 5 satellite speakers and the subwoofer. I only bought it yesterday, and have spent the last few hours playing some of my favourite scenes just to hear how different they sound. (`Gladiator` on DTS is awesome!!). I cannot fault either the sound or picture quality of the kit. I purchased it at Comet`s for £399. As well as 3 separate phono inputs, it has SCART, Composite and S-VHS video outputs, as well as Digital Coax output and Digital Optical output for audio.
The only problem so far is that as it is a new model, I cannot find a region hack for it. I have a request already posted in the Hack Forum for this (but if anyone here can help.....)
So, apart from the fact that at the moment it is Region 2 only, I can highly recommend it.
