Page 1 of Acoustic Solutions 451 with PAL 50

Just bought my dvd player few days ago and decided today to try out recording an NTSC dvd with PAL selected. The tape output was a perfect copy. Hence I assume that means the PAL it outputs is PAL 50 not PAL 60. I hope this helps anyone.

mark i have the dv451 player.was wondering if you were refering to taping to vcr as i tried after the macro hack i couldnt .i only got the pic and not the sound or colour if not then could you offer any ideas or anyone else.

yes talking about taping to VCR.

what I did was this

setup, next, previous, next, previous. change 2 to 255 (by using the right button.)

than press down to get 4002, and than change to 4000 (by using the right button.)

than press setup to save it.

Than setup again, and change tv system to pal.

Last of all (and this might be the difference) I am not using scart. I am using the phono connectors. since the VCR I have doesn`t have scart. anyway it seems from what you are saying you haven`t change the tv system, it needs to be set to pal to playback ntsc. it doesn`t auto set to pal, since some ppl might for whatever reason want it in orginal ntsc format.

Oh yeah can you tell me what your picture is like with and without scart? the reason since when I use scart on my tv the picture seem much worse than phono connection. (it has a very red tint to it for starters. and the strange thing the scart cable is a £9.99 gold connector job. whereas the phono are 50p crappy free jobby one :-)

mark not tried yet but will let you know soon as i get time .i got the scart from richer sounds 9.99 gold plate lol.
