Have a look at the pioneer dvd454 on techtronics, I believe that`s around the 150.00 mark, quite good as well apparently!

Try the Haus H615L-S from www.jungle.com £125 including P&P app. It has built in 5.1/DTS decoders and plays CDR / CDRW / MP3 / VCD / SVCD / CD / DVD it also plays DVD-R or DVD+R.Not sure about RCE?
The MP3 menu is a bit like Windows Explorer so is easy to operate.
Remote control region hacks can be found at www.vcdhelp.com
I am assuming it also has Macrovision disabled as I was able to backup our Lost In Space DVD to VHS and there were no problems with either picture or sound. Go to www.zenix-electronics.com as the H-615L-S is a rebadged Zenix 600 ? I think and you will get a little more info here. HTH
