Just read a terrible review of the SCAN SC-2000 in DVD review. Absolutely slaughtered it. Now, I don`t want to start another thread of SCAN-baiting (please!), but does anyone know which firmware version was reviewed?
Secondly, the review said that the SCAN couldn`t cope with Enhanced Regional Encoding. Is this still the case?
All help appreciated.

The scan WILL work with rce disks.They failed to test the player by manually selecting the region.You will see an apology in the next issue.They were also reviewing an older model.We have a newer version with a new mpeg card which eleimninates pixellation and gives a better picture. nilesh scan s
