Hi all i just bought this player from tesco but it wont play my SVCD,S unknown to me i thought i had bought the 852 not the 952 ..so er does the 952 play vcd or not and if it does how do u set it up? thanks in advance if it dont i will bring it back to tesco in the morning and buy a player that will any recoomendations? i need svcd multi reg disable macrovision like the dansai 852..but they seem hard to get hold of

No it won`t. Try and get the Daewoo 6000 as it`s a clone of the Dansai 852 and will play VCD and SVCD. Safeways have it on offer this week at £89.99, but if they don`t have any left you can get it from Empire Direct for the same price + p&p. HTH
