pacific 750, vcd hack

can I turn on vcd function for this model, as it was disabled by the manufacturer, any help appreciated.

Past postings recommend hitting the "next"(I presume this is the "Skip" key) to force it to play vcds.But I`m not sure if it works.

In that case take it back to asda and swap it for the schneider 856 which is very similar , has the same hack and plays everything.(At the moment!)

isnt the 856 a shade more expensive and has that silly karioke thingy on it? i did see the 856 while i was there, i would imagine that it to will be the same as the 750....?? Why do the manufactures do this?

I might try tesco for the dansai 1010 that plays everything to for £85.00

Sorry Dave I didn`t know there was a price difference.but it does have component out (useful if you have a tosh tv)and you don`t need to use the karaoke if Elvis doesn`t live at your house LOL!!

hi i got one from asda and it plays every disk under the sun vcd`s mp3`s dvd-r`s

Hiya, when did you buy your model mark??? was it recentley, or a while ago, I heard that pacific are disabling all their dvd players?

hi dave, got it a couple of weeks before u. A relative also bought one and experienced the same problems as you. Asda were quite helpful and knew about the problem. They took back the model she had and swoped it for the earlier model.
