HELP! Samsung 511 hack not working
I have owned a 709 for about six months and it hacked fine with my aiwa remote (RC-TN430B) but I had to take it back because it was faulty. Having checked I was able to hack the 511 the same way I swapped it for my faulty 709. But the hack is not working at all! Any suggestions? If not anyone want to buy some region one DVD`s? (joke!)

Use the cold start 709 hack.
Turn player off from front.
press and hold play and stop on front of player at the same time
use the samsung remote to press power on
when language selection comes up select correct language
while front says loading press Aiwa remote keys as before on 709
tray should eject and screen say adjust
put in your region 1 discs and press play
the player is region free until powered off from remote or front.

It works, you just need to press a button on Aiwa remote quickly two or three times. That`s all.
RE: HELP! Samsung 511 hack not working
i`ve just bought a 511 and saw this hack. i was wondering were i can get a hold of the Aiwa remote control
RE: HELP! Samsung 511 hack not working
OK guys, hit the 709online forum.
Full list of usable remotes and buttons to press.
for one-4-all remotes, even a list of required codes.
The cold start hack works on some 511`s but not all.
The 511 I have instore requires the DOUBLE cold start hack, and the "cold start" has to be triggered by the Aiwa or 1-4-all remote TWICE.
(note that the cold start from the remote is NOT the same as the cold start from the "stop&play" press on the player!)
but failing that... gimme a list of yer R1 DVD`s for me hungry Aiwa! (joke! lol)
AIWA 370 ROCKS!!!!!!!!
RE: HELP! Samsung 511 hack not working
Try to search the Internet using www.altavista.com for this line (without quotes): "+remote +aiwa" or this one: "+remote +aiwa +replacement". I found plenty of sites a month ago. They usually cost approx. $25 + delivery.
