Page 1 of Philips multi region hack using one for all remote

I don`t understand how to use this hack. I have a one for all remote (Lite).
How do you "configure the remote using the setup code 0539" Isn`t the next step, pushing the Magic key then the code 085 configuring the remote? and in any case how could the on screen display at this point read 11 spaces when you still havn`t sent anything to the player. Maybe i`m just been stupid but I could realy do with some advice from someone who has used this hack sucsesfuly. My player is the Philips 958.

When configuring code 0539 you press & hold magic key so it blinks twice, then just press (dont hold) magic key so it only blinks once then press 085 etc.. & you will find it works fine

I still don`t get it. Is configuring the remote using code 0539 a seperate operation to pressing and holding the magic key and entering 085? because if it is I don`t see how I can do this as when I try to enter a 4 digit code it blinks twice after the third number. perhaps my remote is too old. If ther is someting I am missing please spell out the whole prosedure up to the point where I type in the twelve digit code using the dvd remote without assuming I know anything, if it not too much trouble.

i have the 958 and have hacked it using this remote, its works fine

the 0539 is to allow the all4one to operate your dvd player

the 085 is what allows you into the engineers part to hack it
a set of dashes appears and you then enter the hack
there is 1 less dash than there is numbers for the hack but don,t worry enter the last digit and it accepts it

That makes things a bit clearer but how do you "configure the remote using the setup code 0539" I mean the exact procedure, because mine will only allow three digits. It is quite an old model It`s called "Lite" it is not one of the models mentioned in the hack.

if its not one of those mentioned in the hack then i am not sure if you can use it i used the 7560 ithink borrowed it from a m8 ( ithink there are only 2 types of one4all that work


try the one 4 all site i know there are downloads to upgrade certain types od remotes


how about the setup did you get the pw9536 if so how do you find it any problems or any tips on set up

Thanks for your help I think I will have to get one of the new remotes mentioned in the hack. As for my set up I bought the dvd on its own as I already had a good tv. I did have a problem trying to conect it up with my vcr and sky decoder all on scart leads though. I sust it in the end and could advise if needed. as for the dvd it`s self I just pluged it in and turnd it on. If you could sugest any other improvments I could make I would be interested.

I got my 958 hacked from rgion 2 to region 1 ok? Now it won`t play region 2 discs - how do I hack it back again???
