Ok I live in UK and I have a PS2 that I purchased in UK, can someone please tell me if I can play PS2 games purchased in US/CANADA??? and what is a region 0 game??? are the games coded the same as DVD`s???

When you are posting please try to make your topic Heading a little more descriptive. It will not only makes the Forum look neater, but it also means you stand a chance of getting a response (which I would doubt is likely with a heading like "Help Me!!!")

Matt, I suggest you heed Dan`s advice if you don`t want to live up to your nickname ;-) It`s very easy to edit your post - including the heading - if you wish to change it to something more useful.
To answer your questions, the territorial coding on PS2 (and PS1) games does not correspond to that of video DVDs. There are actually only three PlayStation "regions": NTSC-U/C (US/Canada), NTSC-J (Japan), and PAL (Europe, Australia etc.) There is no provision for "region 0" games in the PlayStation/PS2 spec.
Currently there is just one mod chip, ChannelTech`s Messiah, which allows you to play PS2 games from outside your own region, and that chip is currently subject to legal difficulties and therefore unavailable. Other PS2 mod chips exist, but they only allow you to play *copied* PS2 games and/or PS1 imports - they do not let you play original PS2 imports.
Basically this is a long-winded way of saying that for the moment, you`re screwed, unless you fancy buying a US PS2 as well as your UK one (yeah, I know, "not bloody likely"!)
