Page 1 of hack for philips dvd player dvp 3120

Purchased at asda in UK.

Bought one of these myself yesterdayin Currys, but they are available in lots of shops & websites, such as Amazon.co.uk, which incidentally has these instructions on the DVP3120 page . All of my dvd players (this is No.4) have been hacked with help from this site. Couldn`t find one for DVP3120 so tried the hack posted for Philips DVP3020 (my changes are in italics) & it worked, but to recap:

1. Press Open on your player to open the tray.
2. Press Setup on your remote control
3. Using your remote control, highlight but do not select Preferences menu
4. Press the 1 button on your remote control.
5. Press the 3 button on your remote control
6. Press the 8 button on your remote control
7. Press the 9 button on your remote control
8. Press the 3 button on your remote control
9. Press the 1 button on your remote control.
10. Using the Up and Down arrows on your remote control select 1 for region 1, 2 for region 2, and so on (numbers go up to 6), or select 0 for mult-region playback
11. Press the OK button on your remote control
12. Press the Setup button on your remote control

:) :) :) Yep it works and me being a technophobe have now managed to change the code on 4 players of my own and one for a (very trusting) neighbour, cos I wasn`t too sure and did not relish the prospect of forking out for a new player, but hey-ho it works and he`s happy as Larry!
