Has anyone found a hack that works for the Acoustic Solutions DVD-257 which is currently at Argos for £14.99. Need a cheap player for kids room but don`t want to buy it until I know it can be made region free.

Can`t get it to work. It`s the code for the dvd-237, not the 257.

I got the dvd player to day 23/10/06
AND I FOUND THE UNLOCK CODE LOL .AND IT WORKS
ITS THE SAME AS THE DVD-204 LOL
1 PRESS THE OPEN BOTTON ON THE REMOTE 2 PRESS SETUP 3 PRESS THE NEXT BUTTON 4 PRESS STOP 5 PRESS PAUSE 6 PRESS NEXT REPEATEDLY UNTIL THE NUMBER 2 APPERS ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE OF YOUR SCREEN 7 PRESS RIGHT DIRECTION BUTTON TO CHANGE TO 2 TO 255
I KNOW IT WORK IV DONE IT TODAY HAVE FUN

If you log on to `Martins Money Saving tips` website you will find a discussion forum on these bargain dvd players and if you scroll down you will find the hack you are looking for, which has been confirmed as successful! Hope this helps. SusieQ

This one sent in by electron84 does work as I have done it too. Just a note though NEXT is shown incorrectly in the manual (page 8) fast fwd/backwd (18) and previous\next (7) should be swapped with each other. just go by the traditional symbols which are correct! (but then you all knew that didn`t you)

The Hack posted by WAVY works, I tried all of the posted hacks none worked, if you do as WAVY says and use the correctNEXT button it works for sure.
