Page 1 of SAMSUNG DVD-511 Region Hack

Having found the above hack (same as Thomson DTH-3300) I was hoping to watch some R1 dvd`s tonight - no such luck!

Although I can get the language part to accept english, when I push the repeat button and then try entering the existing R2 code it all goes wrong. I do not get the region code appearing - it just seems to duplicate two digits from what ever I put in.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

hi when i did the hack i left the language bit out and just did the region hack to region 0 i did not even look at the screen. i think any no comes up try the hack again only with the region 0 then it should work

yeah it went funny when I tried to do it. The key is to push repeat (not repeat A-B) then type in the code as quickly as possible, you should get 02 appear in the top left corner then press 9 and voila it`s multi region

i used this hack and it works OK
1. switch on power with no dvd in drive
2.press repeat NOT A/B REPEAT
3.enter code 38767
4. a small No 2 will appear top left of screen
4.press 9 on remote control
6. then press open on the actual player and turn the power off before tray is fully ejected.

your player is now region free, have fun.
