Philips 701 multi region hack and macrivision disable?HELP SOS!

Can anyone tell me if the hack featured on this site work with the philips 701 and wether or not it also should disable macrovison??Also should the television boot display screen change at all once the hack has been performed!And when performing the hack should you put your layer on standby when prompted or remove the plug all together!!!!

Yeah! it worked on my 701 fine. Haven`t tested the macrovision yet though

does the hack require you to turn the system of by the plug or just shut it down to standby,and is there anyway you can tell if the hack has worked?Other than inserting a different region dvd as iam currently waiting on a region 1 dvd!Also does anyone know if this hack disables macrovision?Cheers

I can`t think of anyway of testing if the hack has worked other than putting a region one disk in the player. I put the machine on standby (didn`t unplug the machine).
I can`t help you with the macrovision as I don`t have a vcr to test if it has been disabled or not.
Sorry, I haven`t been much help really.
