Denon 2802 receiver
I am thinking of getting the Denon 2802 as I want to have DTS-ES and DD-EX but don`t need need 7.1 sound as I have a diamond shape living room where the back of the room forms a point (if that makes sense) . Also the room isn`t very large so i don`t need loads of power - basically a six speaker setup would fill the room with sound nicely, covering all sounds fields.
Has anyone bought this amp? Does it sound good with music? I am thinking of getting this amp to play all of my movies (main reason),TV, CDs, my decks, computer MP3`s etc. Is there a better amp to do everything I want?
Any advise would be appreciated.

I can`t think of anyway of testing if the hack has worked other than putting a region one disk in the player. I put the machine on standby (didn`t unplug the machine).
I can`t help you with the macrovision as I don`t have a vcr to test if it has been disabled or not.
Sorry, I haven`t been much help really.

Yeah! it worked on my 701 fine. Haven`t tested the macrovision yet though

I hacked my 701 with the One-for-all 4 Digital. I borrowed it off my mate but you can get them from argos and take them back the next day.
The only trouble I had was configuring the remote for DVD but it`s coz I`m lazy and I couldn`t be bothered to read the manual. Once I`d set up the remote to use DVD and put the code in it worked fine.

Nice one Grantaire8, Rodger needs to lighten up a bit or he`ll have a sort stressful life.
Still, at least all those women will appreciate him sticking up for them, or perhaps they feel slightly patronised and feel that they can stick up for themselves. If they do find Allan’s comments offensive that is!!

Yep, have a look around the forum or under the remote hack section of this site. The hack works on all philips models and plays the new RCE DVD`s.

You could try simulating the number buttons by using the codes on Allen Verth`s site. (http://www.electrouk.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk). The codes are on button 3 of the remote navigation on his page.
I assume that once your all 4 one has been set up you can just press the magic button and enter the code 0539 to get the -------------`s up then try pressing the magic button again and typing 034 to emulate your original remotes number 2 button. you`ll probably have to do this for each number in the code (using allen chart). I`m not sure if this will work but it`s worth a go.
Does the one for all region hack work for the philips 701?
I have read all sort of info on the region hack for philips players but I have read on some internet pages that it does not work on the 701. Is this true.
I have tried the other codes that you enter using your own remote (the ones that are meant to lock up after 25 times) but they didn`t work. I want to know if the one for all hack definitely works as I don`t want to shell out for a remote If it is going to be useless.
