Need multi-region hack for JVC XV-N44SL

bmitch (Harmless) posted this on Wednesday, 23rd March 2005, 20:54

Just bought a raft of DVDs for region 2 and found out that my "play anything" multi-system DVD player is locked into region 1. >:( Bummer! Has anyone successfully hacked one of these devices to play region 2 discs? :¦
An old guy would be most appreciative, otherwise I`ve got to do battle with the forces of evil (return clerk at a Spanish department store) to try to get my Euos back. :(

I`m a fan of and believer in things that you can thump to make them work (Lucas electrics in my old TR and the carb on my `68 Camaro); this electronic stuff just baffles the begeezus out of me! :/

If you can trash one of those JVC XV-N44SL players, you can try these information for XV-"N33SL" instead of "N44SL" ;

Sorry but the only way to can mod this or similar JVCs is via a special external uploader via the players compulink socket. There is no other way whatsoever to do it.....
