Navs or anyone need help with Sonel Macmaster and Macrovision!!!!!

Navs,

I finally got my MacMaster from Sonel but when I tried it with my Toshiba SD2109 DVD and Panasonic NV-HD625 the recording was Black and White and sort of flashing. The VCR has NTSC P.B. on PAL TV written on it but still no joy. The dvd`s I tried are from the states some indian films and also The Bone Collecter but same result with both. The Bone Collecter is region 1 but the indian dvd`s are region free. I don`t know what to do now would appreciate some help.

Cheers,
Nas.

Navs,

Yes I did get the power supply. Someone else has told me it could be to do with the NTSC signal and my VCR. I know you also mentioned this , what sort of VCR is yours....is it one of these Multi-system one`s. If that is the case then I`m not sure what needs to be done .. maybe an NTSC to PAL converter.

the vcr`s i got are a toshiba v 727b and a sony (both about 2 years old). try the Sonel with a region 2 disc. if it works, then it`s your vcr, if it don`t, check the connections, making sure that the sonel connected at the correct terminals- the sonel site shows how to connect everything-otherwise I think you`ve got a faulty sonel lead. Oh- there are 2 PAL versons, PAL 60 and PAL 50 and it could be that your dvd player could be sending a PAL 60 signal and your VCR probabaly only pick up PAL 50-so the incompatibility.
